Per a statement received from Sugarcreek Construction:

We are beginning works on the Reeds Creek Bridge that will require intermittent, short-duration closures of the channel during certain activities to ensure the safety of boaters. These closures are anticipated to primarily be intermittent and very short in duration (~1hr or so). Channel closure signs will be deployed during these times and channel access will be closed, and then opened back up as soon as the operation is stable and public can safely pass. The subcontractor performing the bridge construction has advised that boat traffic has been extremely minimal in the last few weeks. We believe this maximizes public access by implementing multiple short closures (rather than more lengthy ones), while allowing construction activities to proceed. This email serves as notification to Duke Energy and LNMC of the subject channel closures moving forward. Longer duration closures will be necessary during future activities, and we will keep you informed as those approach.
