Duke Energy developed the Catawba-Wateree Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) to assist in guiding responsible construction, shoreline stabilization, and excavation activities within the lake boundaries of the 11 lakes in the Catawba-Wateree reservoir system. The goal of the SMP is to provide continued public and private access to these lakes while protecting their natural and cultural resources.
