Public invited to review changes to Duke Energy’s Catawba-Wateree Shoreline Management Plan

As the licensee of the Catawba-Wateree Hydro Project, Duke Energy developed the Catawba-Wateree Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) to help in guiding responsible construction, shoreline stabilization, excavation and other shoreline activities within the lake boundaries of the 11 lakes in the Catawba-Wateree lake system. The goal of the SMP is to provide continued public and private access to these lakes while protecting their natural, public recreational and cultural resources.

Duke Energy will hold public meetings to provide the public an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed changes with Duke Energy representatives and workgroup members.
