Living on Lake Norman

Dock Safety is a major concern for preventing accidental drownings which occur often, are unexpected and account for 7% of all injury-related deaths.  While lifesaver rings are often found on boats and at pools, rarely are they found on docks or other waterfront areas.

The Lake Norman Marine Commission has purchased a supply of 100 rings which are available for FREE by simply applying using this form.

If you are interested in giving a donation to the Marine Commission to support buying new rings and continuing this lifesaving mission please make your check payable to LNMC and put “Donation” in the subject line.

We also support the FLOAT IT FORWARD initiative, which is an awareness campaign encouraging people to buy a dockside lifesaver ring for themselves and a friend.     Read more here.
