The Lake Norman Marine Commission passed a new regulation to enhance the safety of those chartering boats. Charter Operators now apply to for approval which requires the use of licensed captains, vessel inspections, and insurance coverage.
FOR YOUR SAFETY you should only use approved companies and beware of other rogue operators, including several who are masquerading as legitimate companies by using very similar names and websites. They are operating illegally!
